ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

SICEP SPA with headquarters in C.da Piraino, SS.192 Km.73 – 95032 Belpasso (CT)Italy, engaged for over seventy years in the activity of Design, production and installation of prefabricated concrete structural components, is fully aware that the protection of the environment and natural resources are essential strategic factors for the planning, operation and development of a sustainable business.

The Leadership of SICEP SPA is therefore committed to pursuing a policy of continuous improvement of its environmental performance, minimising, where technically possible and economically sustainable, any negative impact on the environment resulting from its activities, adopting a proactive approach taking into account the life cycle perspective.

SICEP SPA intends to achieve the above-mentioned goals through the following actions:

  • Identify, through context analysis, relevant internal and external factors, the expectations of interested parties and evaluate risks and opportunities in the context of achieving strategic objectives;
  • Ensure that any identified environmental changes resulting from its activities are eliminated or reduced, in order to evaluate, minimize and improve impacts on the environment;
  • Ensure that its activities are carried out in compliance with applicable laws and any voluntary codes of practice to which the organisation has subscribed;
  • Implement and maintain an effective Environmental Management System in accordance with the requirements of the UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 standard;
  • Implement every effort in organizational, operational and technological terms to prevent pollution of all environmental matrices involved;
  • Minimize the consumption of raw materials, water and energy by favoring the production and consumption of energy from renewable sources; reduce waste production , promoting its reuse and/or recovery where possible, influencing the management of indirect environmental aspects;
  • Monitor emissions into the atmosphere and the noise impact resulting from your business;
  • Define environmental objectives and targets, to be integrated with the organisation’s operational management and business development programmes:
  • evaluating the environmental performance of suppliers and subcontractors;
  • preventing and limiting accidents;
  • establishing emergency procedures in case of accidents;
  • providing for structural changes aimed at improving work activity and environmental impact;
  • Ensure that the environmental policy set out herein and the related management system are understood, implemented and maintained at all levels of the organization and that the system is supported by periodic and systematic education and training activities;
  • Ensure that this document is available to the public;
  • Comply with the legislative requirements set out in the regulations in force.

The environmental policy, in accordance with the requirements of the UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 standard , of SICEP SPA guarantees:

  • one’s availability towards the public;
  • its own documentation, and dissemination to all staff;
  • its operations and activities over time.
