Gruppo Di Martino, a leading company in Europe in transport and logistics for companies, has chosen Sicep for the construction of a 20,000 square metre prefabricated building to be used for PENNY MARKET logistics in the industrial area of Catania.

The use of the multi-storey construction system, with floors formed by Vigor 50 tiles, integrated with the FIONDAL roofing system has made it possible to create large spaces at different heights for the storage of goods and at the same time to integrate the office area with them. The FIONDAL system characterised by a simple wing profile that makes it possible to cover up to 30 metres of span, with a minimum footprint, and high structural strength characteristics was the decisive choice for meeting project needs. The choice of covering the building almost entirely with metal sandwich panels answers the specific needs of safeguarding the end customer’s goods and integrates well with the SICEP precast reinforced concrete structure.
